JOHN PEARSON Born in England in 1924, died Richmond BC November 2009, leaving Geraldine his wife of 55 years and a large extended family around the world. Raised in Manitoba, he left for the Merchant Marine, then fought with the Australian and Canadian Armies in the Second World War and Korea (2PPCLI). Returning home, he finished high school at age 22 and earned Bachelor and Masters degrees in Law. He started his career with the CPR in Winnipeg, Montreal, and Calgary, then joined Aikins MacAulay in Winnipeg. In 1968 he moved his young family to Vancouver and joined Davis Co, practising corporate law until retiring in 1987. Retirement was spent enjoying his beloved children John (Kathy), Ellen (Steve), David (Marilee), Brian (Melanie); grandchildren Alexandra, Ashley, Michael, Haya, Hanan, Julia, Ilana, Hillary, Stewart, Mia, and Nolan; and developing previously undiscovered talents as a painter and chef. No service by request. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Health and Home Care Society of BC.
